What does “wydech” mean — breath or car exhaust?

A Porsche driver spots a horse and asks herself if she has a “cichy wydech” — a “quiet exhale.” It’s a pun: “wydech” is your breath going out, but it’s also the word for a car’s exhaust sound, so a driver with a loud engine is said to have a loud “wydech” too. Slowing the engine here doubles as a small, deliberate breath.

Car culture leans on this constantly — “głośny wydech” (loud exhaust) describes a modified muffler, while a nervous person “robi głęboki wydech” (takes a deep exhale) to calm down. Same word, same idea of something forceful being let out.
