If the words that stop you sit around the most common 700, your feed leans towards videos built almost entirely out of those 700, so the next clip is one you can nearly follow on your own. Start reaching for rarer words and the band moves out with you, and the videos move with it.
Watching a video without tapping anything says something, but it says the same thing whether you knew every word or got lucky with an easy one. The words you stop on are more precise than that. The frequency data behind the full and dotted underlines in the subtitles is what makes them readable, so your level can follow the vocabulary you're actually reaching for.
