The filters get slower the more you use them
A known issue, on the list to fix.
Open the filters on the catalog and they're there straight away. Set two or three, open them again, and now you're waiting. The more you narrow things down, the slower the thing you narrow with becomes.
Every filter carries a count of how many videos sit behind it, and those counts move the moment another filter is on, so they're worked out fresh each time you open the panel. That's real work and right now you wait through it. It gets prepared in advance, the way the very first, unfiltered open already is.
