Beginner videos that show up as fast speech
A known issue, on the list to fix.
You open a video that's plainly at your level and the pace on it says fast native speech, or you filter for something slower and get handed something that isn't. The one number you'd lean on to pick a video is the one you can't take at face value.
How quickly people talk is measured from each video's own audio, and on a small number of them that measurement comes out wrong: a reading no real speaker could produce still makes it through. Those get re-measured, and a reading that couldn't be right stops being allowed through in the first place.
