You open a video from a link, a search result or a share, and it never starts. A few seconds later something else is playing. Nothing told you what happened, so it looks like we ignored the one you actually asked for.
Videos come from real creators' channels, and now and then one won't play for us: it gets taken down, the creator switches off playing it outside YouTube, or it just won't load for you that time. When that happens to a video your feed queued up on its own, quietly moving to the next one is right, and you never notice. When it happens to the one you chose, staying quiet is the wrong answer. Now we tell you, and you pick: watch the next video, or go back where you came from.
