Next to it sit the words you've actually tapped and looked up, gathered in one place instead of scattered clip by clip, so you can see what you've been working on, drop the ones you hit by accident, and watch the number climb as you keep going.
The words you look up are the clearest record you have of what you're learning, but right now they live in the clips they came from, and a tap you didn't mean sticks around. Pulling them together is what makes the number above mean something. It's your vocabulary, so you should be able to see it and tidy it.
